Did anybody read Poisoned Heart, a new book that Dee Dee's first wife (and in my opinion, only love, srry Barbara) Vera Ramone King wrote? It basically gives you amazing insight of what it was like to live, love, and be with our favorite Ramone. By the time it ends and you know that their going to be apart, your happy and sad at the same time. I thought it was great and levels my preception of what Dee Dee was like so that I get a real sense of who he was. He was pretty normal except his bipolar, psychotic, impulsive, abusive, controlling, addictive, self-loving, good hearted, caring, loving, charming, humorous, ecstatic, brilliant, and creative traits. I loved him before I read the book, and I love him all the same through the good and the bad that happened in their lives. Damn, that sounded like a book review :(
Dee Dee Ramone is love

I've really wanted to read that book, just haven't taken the time. I was wondering what it was like. Vera was there in the beginning, all during those early CBGB days. It sounds like a fantastic and informative book.

I got the book for Christmas and Vera did go through a lot but loved him so much through the end and then some. Also, in the book there are some never before seen pictures, i'm guessing, of Dee Dee and Vera's wedding day. He looks so great in his white suit *drool*
But I found it at Best Buy so check it out there. Once you see the book, it might motivate you to read some :)

I'll definitely check that out. Oh man, he was so beautiful back then. He looked like a doll. And Vera did too, actually. I love that trash doll look from the 70's Lower East side NYC look. LOVE IT
